According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari urged every Pakistani to rise above differences, reject division and negativity, and work together to build a prosperous, inclusive, and just Pakistan. He congratulated the entire nation and emphasized that the same spirit that led to the creation of Pakistan can propel the country toward a brighter future. The President acknowledged the challenging road ahead but expressed confidence in the resilience, hard work, and patriotism of the Pakistani people, which he believes are crucial in navigating today’s complex realities, tackling economic pressures, and pursuing sustainable development.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, emphasized the importance of the right policies, dedicated efforts, and national unity to achieve economic prosperity, uphold social justice, and secure Pakistan’s rightful place among the nations of the world. He reflected on the historical significance of Pakistan Day, which stands as a defining moment in the history of South Asia’s Muslims, guided by the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This year, as Pakistan Day coincides with Ramadan, the Prime Minister highlighted the month as a time for deep spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to faith, reinforcing collective will and the values of sacrifice and perseverance.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar extended his warmest congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day. He paid tribute to the unwavering efforts, vision, and determination of the ancestors that led to the establishment of an independent Pakistan. He reaffirmed dedication to the values of unity, faith, and discipline, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir until they achieve their right to self-determination.
