President and Prime Minister Praise Pakistan Air Force for Defending National Airspace

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its vital role in safeguarding Pakistan’s airspace and upholding national sovereignty.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari, in his message on Pakistan Air Force Day, paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the PAF during the 1965 war. He emphasized that the day serves not only to remember past victories but also to honor the enduring spirit of service and devotion that characterizes the PAF.

The President expressed deep respect for the martyrs and ghazis, whose courage and sacrifices continue to inspire the nation. He recounted how PAF air warriors demonstrated extraordinary bravery and determination against overwhelming odds in the 1965 war.

President Zardari also highlighted the PAF’s response in recent conflicts, such as Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-um-Marsoos, noting that their air warriors consistently rose to challenges, delivering decisive responses and instilling national pride. He affirmed the world witnessed the remarkable skill and professionalism of the PAF, believing its modern capabilities are pivotal to Pakistan’s security.

Expressing confidence, President Zardari assured that the PAF will continue to protect the nation’s skies and sovereignty with the same resolve and passion that has always defined it.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the PAF for its professionalism and strength demonstrated over recent decades during air combats. He highlighted the decisive role the PAF, alongside the armed forces, played in Marka-e-Haq.

The Prime Minister stated that celebrating this day serves to remind future generations of the dedication, determination, and bravery of the PAF in protecting the nation.
