President Gives Assent to OGRA Amendment Ordinance 2026

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has given assent to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Amendment Ordinance 2026. The President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, issued an ordinance related to the amendments in clause 2 and 3 of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Ordinance 2002.

According to Radio Pakistan, these amendments are aimed at updating the regulatory framework governing the oil and gas sector. The changes are intended to streamline operations and enhance the efficiency of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. This move is seen as a step towards modernizing the regulatory environment in line with contemporary needs and challenges faced by the sector.
