Lahore: Pro Rector Research Superior University Dr. Nizamuddin has stated that the private sector plays a significant role in the promotion of education in Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, in an exclusive interview with correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Dr. Nizamuddin noted that the private sector contributes to 25-30 percent of educational coverage alongside government initiatives, marking this as a positive development. He discussed educational advancement and the Honhaar Scholarship initiative launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, emphasizing that the program will provide substantial support in promoting education throughout the province.
Dr. Nizamuddin highlighted the inclusion of private universities in the laptop distribution scheme for the first time, describing it as an encouraging step that will help foster a culture of e-learning and e-commerce among students. He expressed satisfaction with the growth of the University of Gujrat, a project he initiated, noting it as a successful educational institution providing quality educational facilities to the public.
On the issue of extremism, Dr. Nizamuddin stressed the importance of promoting dialogue to establish harmony within society. He addressed measures to curb extremism and violence, informing that Superior University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdul Rehman, has focused on students' character development and organized numerous workshops to enhance leadership potential, ethical values, and social responsibility among the youth.
