Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that provision of quality education and technical training is the foremost priority of the government.
Chairing a review meeting on matters related to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in Islamabad on Friday, he said no country can progress without a quality system of education.
He said skills development, information technology and digitalization have become inevitable in modern education systems and we have to transform our education system on the same modern lines.
The Prime Minister said it is government’s determination that no child of Pakistan should be out of school and the government imposed an education emergency in this regard after we came into power.
He termed holding National Curriculum Summit as essential for the implementation of uniform education system in the country.
The Prime Minister directed to speed up work for establishing Daanish Schools in remote areas of Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Balochi
stan.
He also directed to establish day-care centers in all educational institutions of Islamabad for the convenience of female teachers.
Shehbaz Sharif also instructed to establish e-Libraries in parks and recreational places in Islamabad with free entry and internet facility.
He directed to evolve a strategy to fix monthly stipends for female students in rural areas of Islamabad to increase the enrollment of female students in these schools.
The Prime Minister said technical training should be made part of the curriculum in the schools of Islamabad.
The Prime Minister said free technical training should be imparted to students who have given up education due to some reason, and awareness campaign should be launched to attract them towards education.
He said a high quality teacher training institute is necessary in the federal capital for imparting quality training to the teachers.
The Prime Minister also directed to conduct a third party audit to evaluate the teachers’ training and their capacity.

egarding the recruitment of teachers, he said transparency and merit should be observed and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed that the provision of meal to children in schools in Islamabad has been started and this initiative has improved the enrollment.
It was told that one hundred Early Childhood Education Centers have been established in Islamabad Capital Territory.
It was further briefed that modern information technology and digital training centers have been established in the colleges of Islamabad where training is being given regarding data sciences, artificial intelligence and block chain. These training centers are affiliated with the top universities of country.
