Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has asserted that the PTI is pursuing an agenda detrimental to Pakistan’s interests and will not succeed in its plans. In a televised message, he emphasized that these elements are struggling to accept the country’s economic stability as they continuously incite hatred, division, and chaos.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a recent visit to the United Kingdom, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir received a warm welcome, including a guard of honor at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Tarar claimed that PTI is unable to accept the positive reception given to the Army Chief.
Tarar highlighted that patriotic overseas Pakistanis have countered PTI’s negative propaganda by increasing their remittances by 32 percent, showing their support for Pakistan’s state, armed forces, and economy. He recalled incidents where PTI members allegedly attacked Jinnah House and desecrated martyrs’ memorials, citing video evidence of PTI leaders leading the protests.
The Minister accused PTI’s founder of supporting terrorists and facilitating their return to Pakistan. He noted that some PTI supporters are now engaging in negative social media campaigns against the armed forces and the country’s economy. Tarar assured that legal action will be taken against those responsible for these campaigns on social media.
