Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that her government will provide three Marla plots free of cost to needy and homeless people across the province. The initiative aims to address housing issues faced by the underprivileged in Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, the implementation of this decision has officially begun, with the first phase covering 1,892 plots in thirty-three schemes across twenty-two districts of Punjab. This step marks a significant move towards alleviating housing shortages and supporting the most vulnerable citizens.
Maryam Nawaz has directed authorities to take immediate steps to ensure smooth and transparent distribution of plots. She reaffirmed her vision of ensuring that every citizen of Punjab has a home, emphasizing that poor and deserving have an equal right to government resources. The scheme underscores the government’s commitment to addressing housing needs and promoting social welfare.
