Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has announced that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is dedicatedly striving for the advancement of the province. During a news conference in Lahore, Bukhari highlighted a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of the residents.
According to Radio Pakistan, Bukhari revealed that a significant highlight of these initiatives is the upcoming inauguration of the Horse and Cattle Show in Lahore by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, marking the event’s return after a 30-year hiatus. In addition to this cultural revival, the government plans to extend Honhaar Scholarships to other provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, promoting educational opportunities across regions.
Further elaborating on welfare measures, Bukhari discussed the Nigeban Ramadan Package, which aims to support underprivileged families by providing them a pay order worth ten thousand rupees. The distribution will occur directly at their doorsteps, with the registration process open until the 15th of this month, ensuring timely assistance to those in need.
Bukhari also announced the hosting of the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy in Punjab, emphasizing that comprehensive security arrangements are in place to ensure the safety and success of this grand sports event.
