Islamabad: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has emphasized the significant role of the business community in bolstering the national economy and generating employment opportunities. He conveyed these sentiments during a meeting with a delegation of jewelers and goldsmiths from Talagang and Chakwal in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation briefed the Governor on various challenges faced by the jewelry community. In response, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan reiterated the government's commitment to addressing the issues of the business community.
The Governor highlighted the importance of effective legislation to combat the theft of gold, urging provincial assemblies to implement concrete measures to tackle this issue. This initiative is part of the government's broader strategy to support and enhance the contributions of the business sector to the economy.
