Islamabad: Relief and rescue operations by the Pakistan Army are continuing in rain-hit areas of Upper Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to Radio Pakistan, torrential rains have damaged roads, bridges, and houses in various areas of the district. Flash floods caused extensive damage to roads, streets, agricultural land, and houses in different areas.
During the incessant rains, personnel of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North promptly reached the affected areas and launched relief activities to provide necessary assistance to the affected people. People stranded in floodwater were safely rescued, while blocked roads were cleared with the help of heavy machinery, restoring traffic flow.
Local residents appreciated the timely relief and rescue efforts of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged their humanitarian spirit. The security forces have once again demonstrated their commitment to stand by the people in every difficult situation and remain ready to serve them in times of need.
