Rescue, Relief Operations Continuing in Flood-Hit Areas of Punjab

Islamabad: Rescue and relief operations are ongoing in flood-affected areas of Jalalpur Pirwala, where several villages have been submerged following the flood in the Chenab River. The Punjab government is actively engaged in these efforts to address the situation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is virtually monitoring the evacuation of the affected population. In a statement, she highlighted that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122, and the Multan district administration are working diligently in Jalalpur Pirwala to manage the crisis effectively.
