Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the PM’s Digital Youth Hub, a platform designed to provide youth with opportunities for engagement, employment, education, and skill development. During the launch ceremony in Islamabad, he emphasized the importance of modern technology in today’s world and highlighted the hub as a stepping stone toward a promising future for the youth of Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister stressed the need to harness the potential of the youth by training them in modern technologies such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Vocational Training. He described the Digital Youth Hub as a unique platform that offers opportunities for higher education, employment, technology scholarships, and skill development.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his commitment to allocate necessary resources for the initiative, viewing the youth as a valuable asset that can be transformed into a national resource through proper training. He urged young people to pursue a life of dignity through hard work and a focus on modern education, recognizing the dual challenge and opportunity they represent.
The Prime Minister also expressed a firm commitment to advocate for the rights of youth and collaborate with all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan to provide education and modern training. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, spoke at the ceremony, describing the youth as the driving force behind national progress and architects of a brighter future.
He detailed the Digital Youth Hub as a portal designed with cutting-edge technology and global best practices. The platform is data-driven and AI-based, generating messages tailored to the experience and capabilities of its members. Rana Mashhood expressed the aim to transform the youth and align their training with global job market demands.
The Chairman also shared the goal of elevating the IT industry’s worth to twenty-five billion dollars, with the hub providing benefits across various sectors including sports, tourism, IT, and the green economy. UNICEF Officer In-charge Sharmeela Rasool and United Nations Resident Coordinator Muhammad Yahya also addressed the event, highlighting the platform as a source of opportunity, hope, and a catalyst for development and prosperity in Pakistan.
