Trimmu Barrage Records High Flood in River Chenab


Islamabad: Trimmu Barrage has recorded a very high flood in the River Chenab, maintaining a steady flow.



According to Radio Pakistan, flood waters have affected 304 villages across District Jhang, including 142 in Tehsil Jhang, 37 in Athara Hazari, 66 in Shorkot, and 69 in Ahmedpur Sial.



So far, around 387,476 people have been shifted to safer locations. Meanwhile, nearly 390,000 acres of land has submerged, including over 281,855 acres of standing crops.
