Peshawar: Youm-e-Tashakur was observed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday to highlight mega relief initiatives of the federal government. In connection with this observance, the Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam, addressed a public gathering in Peshawar.
According to Radio Pakistan, Amir Muqam stated that foreign investors are arriving in the country on a large scale due to the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). He highlighted that the record increase in remittances serves as evidence of the public’s trust in the government’s reform initiatives.
The Minister also noted that the inflation rate has decreased drastically from thirty-eight percent to a single digit within one year. Additionally, he emphasized the opportunities being provided to the youth under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, which aims to help them excel in various fields.
Amir Muqam further mentioned that revised agreements with Independent Power Producers have resulted in substantial savings of approximately four thousand billion rupees. These savings reflect the government’s commitment to economic reforms and fiscal responsibility.
