Iran, Iraq to start building cross-border railway

Iran and Iraq signed an agreement on Monday to finally begin the construction of a new railway to connect the neighbouring countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran Railways and Iraqi Republic Railways companies agreed to establish a joint venture within two months to oversee the project, Iran’s state-run news agency reported. Three succumb to corona in country during last 24 hours

Three persons succumbed to coronavirus while 291 tested positive during the last 24 hours in the country.

As per the National Command and Operation Center latest statistics, 41869 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours of which 291 returned positive. The tally of positive case has climbed to 1,294,031.

Positivity ratio stands at 0.69 percent.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has lauded the role of overseas Pakistanis for development of the country.

Talking to a delegation of overseas Pakistanis from the United States, in Karachi on Tuesday, he said overseas Pakistanis are projecting a positive image of Pakistan at abroad.

Sindh Governor said the government fulfilled its promise of granting right of exercising vote to overseas Pakistanis in the elections.

Members of the delegation appreciated Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan for taking keen interest in resolving the issues of overseas Pakistanis.

Radio Pakistan, Islamabad United sign MoU for PSL

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Radio Pakistan and Islamabad United in Lahore on Tuesday in connection with Pakistan Super league.

Station Director Radio Pakistan Lahore Nazakat Shakila and Manager Islamabad United Rehan-Ul-Haq signed the partnership memorandum at a ceremony held at Broadcasting House in Lahore.

Talking on the occasion, off-spin bowler Saeed Ajmal lauded the role of Radio Pakistan for promoting cricket in country and said collective efforts are needed in this regard.

He said Radio Pakistan is retaining its former glory by providing quality commentary to the people.

Talking to the participants Cricketer Asif Ali said talented youth must be provided a chance at national level and Islamabad united has taken various steps for this purpose.

Similarly, Manager Islamabad United Rehan-Ul-Haq expressed gratitude to Radio Pakistan for signing MoU with his team.

He also vowed to launch further joint adventures in various fields between the Radio Pakistan and Islamabad United.

Station Director Lahore Nazakat Shakila thanked the officials of Islamabad United for expressing their trust in Radio Pakistan.

She said Radio and cricket are tightly interwoven and promotion of PSL is national duty of every Pakistani.
