Emirates Announces Major Recruitment Drive in Karachi and Islamabad

Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines, has unveiled dates for the recruitment of cabin crew in two Pakistani cities, Islamabad and Karachi. This is part of the airline’s global recruitment drive to hire cabin crew.

Emirates will conduct “invite-only,” recruitments in Islamabad and Karachi on 17 May and 19 May, respectively. The interview and assessment process will start at 9 AM on these dates and only candidates who apply via its website will be called.

Emirates recruits in two ways, “open day” and “invite only.” During open days, applicants can show up at the recruitment venue without submitting any application beforehand. They must follow all guidelines on the website before heading there.

For invites only, candidates must submit an online application and then they will be invited to the next round of the process via email.

Requirements

To qualify for the Emirates cabin crew, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Proficiency in written and spoken English (additional languages are preferred).

Possess a friendly and collaborative personality.

Minimum height of 160cm and the ability to reach 212cm high.

Meet the employment visa criteria set by the UAE.

Additionally, candidates must also have:

At least one year of experience in hospitality or customer service.

High school education (Grade 12) as a minimum.

No visible tattoos while wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform. How to Apply

Recruitment Day Dress Code

During the recruitment process, candidates are required to adhere to a specific dress code. Male candidates must have neat hair, and clean-shaven faces, and wear business attire as well as formal shoes.

Female candidates are required to tie their hair back neatly and wear full makeup, business attire as well as high-heeled shoes.

Benefits

Emirates offers several attractive benefits to its crew members, which are as follows:

A monthly basic income of AED 4,430 along with a flying pay of AED 63.75 per hour. The average monthly total salary is approx. AED 10,170.

Hotel accommodations as well as airport transportation. Overnight meal allowances are credited to the salary in the following month.

Employees can use the Emirates staff travel perks in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Staff Travel Manual.

Free furnished housing, including water and electricity. Two family members can stay in the accommodation for a maximum of 30 days twice a year.

Employees are entitled to 30 days of annual leave. One free ticket for annual leave to the employee’s home country is also provided.

Pakistan climb to top of ODI ranking in 4th win over New Zealand

In the fourth One-Day International of five match series, Pakistan beat New Zealand by 102 runs in Karachi last night.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 334 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs.

In reply, New Zealand were all out for 232 runs in 43.4 overs.

Babar Azam who scored 102 runs was declared player of the match. He became the fastest batter to complete 5,000 one-day international runs breaking SA’s Hashim Amla’s record.

After winning this match, Pakistan has achieved number one position in the ICC ODI rankings for the first time since the introduction of ICC’s official team ranking system in 2005 after winning this match.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan cricket team on securing the a top slot in the ICC ranking.

In a tweet, he said making the nation proud was skipper Babar Azam who earned the feat of completing the fastest 5000 runs in ODIs and leading Pakistan cricket to that glory.

The Pakistan team secured a massive 102-run victory in the fourth match of the ongoing five-match ODI series against New Zealand at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.

With this triumph, the national team achieved the top spot in the ICC ODI rankings for the first time in ODI history, surpassing India and Australia in the rankings.

The Pakistan cricket team has been displaying exceptional performance in white-ball cricket, particularly in the 50-over format since the ODI World Cup 2019 held in England.

Pakistan’s Biggest International Tekken Tournament Starts Today

Takedown 2023, Pakistan’s biggest international tournament for Tekken 7 and The King of Fighters XV (KOF 15) has kicked off at the Expo Center Lahore.

The event is organized by BAAZ and has a prize pool of over Rs. 2,000,000 for Tekken 7 alone. The final winner will get Rs. 1,000,000, while the runner-ups will earn Rs. 400,000, Rs. 200,000, and so on.

Meanwhile, KOF 15 participants will be competing for a total of Rs. 250,000.

The tournament is bringing over 500 participants from all over the world including notable players such as JoKa from the UK, Ulsan, and CBM from Korea, a German player Sephiblack, and many others. And of course, our local talents such as Arslan Ash, Awais Honey, and more are here too.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says Pakistan’s decision to attend the SCO Foreign Ministers’ meeting in India was to maintain our presence at every forum, raise voice for Kashmiris and give a proper response to the one-sided narrative of India to declare every Muslim person a terrorist.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi after his return from Indian city Goa, he said his visit was very successful as he presented Pakistan’s point of view on Kashmir and other issues clearly and firmly.
