Int’l Day of UN peacekeepers to be observed tomorrow

The International Day of UN Peacekeepers will be observed on Monday to highlight role of UN peacekeeping forces for world peace.

Over the past 75 years, United Nations Peacekeepers have saved countless precious lives for global peace and security.

This day commemorates the efforts of the United Nations to eliminate human suffering, establish a situation of lasting peace and order in countries with wars and internal conflicts.

Pakistani peacekeeping forces are playing an important role in accomplishing the mission of the United Nations peacekeeping forces with great skill and dedication.

Ever since Pakistan became a part of the United Nations, Pakistani peacekeeping have rendered services with their bravery and responsibility in almost all the wars of the world.

During UN peacekeeping missions, 171 Pakistani soldiers, including 27 officers, have sacrificed their precious lives for the restoration of peace at the global level.

Quality & hygienic food being ensured to intending Pakistani pilgrims: Ministry

Ministry of Religious Affairs has made adequate and satisfactory arrangements for the provision of healthy, fresh and hygienic meal to Hujjaj in Makkah and Madinah.

Talking to APP, Ministry official Faiz Umar Sial said nine catering companies are providing quality food thrice a day whereas food samples undergo meticulous analysis by experts.

He said catering companies face heavy fines if they fail to provide healthy nourishment to Hujjaj.

Youm-e-Takbeer a declaration of Pakistan being an invincible country: Ministers

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Youm-e-Takbeer is a declaration of Pakistan being an invincible country.

In a tweet on Sunday, she said today we congratulate the entire Pakistani nation, our friends and well-wishers. She said today is also the day of Nawaz Sharif’s patriotism, bravery and not compromising on the national interest.

She said we also salute the entire team including scientists who sacrificed for the sake of the country and made the country’s defense impregnable for the generations to come.

The Information Minister invited the nation to celebrate the day of national victory and unity with pride this evening at Liberty Chowk, Lahore by ensuring full participation with Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rana SanaUllah has said Youm-e-Takbeer is a testament to our unwavering commitment to ensure the invincibility of our homeland’s defense.

In a tweet on Sunday, he said as we celebrate its Silver Jubilee, let us pay rich tributes to all those who played a vital role in accomplishing this historic feat. Akram

Nawaz Sharif made country’s defence invincible by achieving nuclear deterrence: Asif

Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made the country’s defence invincible by conducting nuclear tests 25 years ago on this day.

Addressing the convocation of a college in Sialkot on Sunday, he said we should value our martyrs and Ghazi’s and the must be our redline.

He said in the present era, getting purposeful education is very important because development is not possible without it.

He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif we will be able to take the country on the path of construction, development and prosperity very soon.

More PTI leaders quit party

Flight from PTI continues unabated as the latest line of deserters has reached London from where the overseas leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Tariq Mahmood-ul-Hassan has announced parting ways with the party.

He made this announcement in London on Sunday.

Tariq Mahmood-ul-Hassan was of the view that Imran Khan’s politics of violence and unwise decisions have inflicted an irreparable loss on the party, due to which the people are forced to bid farewell to PTI.

It is pertinent to mention that so far over 65 leaders have left PTI after condemning the violent incidents of May 9.

Former Member Punjab Assembly from Sargodha Dr Nadia Aziz also announced to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday, she condemned the incidents of violence carried on the 9th of May.

PTI leader Malik Khuram Ali Khan has also announced quitting PTI and strongly condemned the violent incidents on 9th May.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said our first priority is Pakistan and its institutions.

He said our army is our pride and the entire nation stands by the Pakistan’s armed forces.
