Lavezoli will lead Curia’s biologics division, overseeing its discovery, development and manufacturing services.

Lavezoli most recently worked for Scorpius Biologics, a startup CDMO focused on microbial and mammalian biologics development and manufacturing as the vice president of commercial operations. Prior to joining Scorpius, he spent four years with Catalent Biologics, focused on drug substance business development in the U.S. for early-stage clinical programs and later focusing on late-stage commercial program integration. He also spent 12 years in the industrial gasses industry with Linde Gas before joining W.L. Gore in the startup biopharmaceutical division to work on a commercial business/market development role for bulk drug substance single-use items. He earned his B.S. in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Pak, Iran reaffirm commitment to strengthen cooperation in diverse fields


Pakistan and Iran have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.

The resolve was expressed in a telephonic conversation between Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, today.

The Iranian Foreign Minister congratulated the caretaker government on the successful conduct of parliamentary elections and Jalil Abbas Jilani deeply appreciated the warm wishes from the brotherly people of Iran.

The two countries have fully restored official engagements since the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Pakistan earlier this month.

Masood lauds contributions of Pakistani diaspora in US


Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan has said Pakistani professionals are not only making their mark in their respective fields but are also proving themselves as the most abiding link between Pakistan and the United States.

He made these remarks during an e-meeting with the leadership of NUSTIAN-US which is a network of around 1200 US-based alumni of National University of Sciences and Technology.

He said we are proud of the contributions of our diaspora in the United States as well as in the country of their origin.

The Ambassador said the Embassy is actively engaged in connecting professional organizations of Pakistani Americans who are serving the country in various walks of life.

President terms Kartarpur Corridor as symbol of love, peace


President Arif Alvi has termed Kartarpur Corridor as a symbol of love and peace.

During his visit to Kartarpur Corridor in Narowal today, he said Pakistan has always welcomed Sikh Yatrees to visit their sacred places and extended all possible facilities.

The President said that Pakistan had expressed its desire for peace in the region through this corridor.

He said stability can be established in the region through initiating steps for inter-religion harmony.

On the occasion, the president was given briefing about the measures taken to facilitate Sikh pilgrims in Kartarpur Sahib.

Later, Dr Arif Alvi visited various places in Kartarpur Sahib and appreciated the arrangements made for pilgrims.
