Govt to formulate policies in consultation with business community: Jam Kamal


Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan has said that the government will make all the policies in consultation with business community.

Talking to President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad today, he said that the solution of the economic crisis is the first priority and government will seek support of the business community for the stability of the business.

Jam Kamal Khan said, increase in the volume of trade, especially in key sectors such as mining, livestock, and textiles is expected in coming days.

He said that Pakistan must align with global standards and adopt modern methods to improve position in the global market.

Pirzada directs to enhance transparency, expedite housing projects


Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada has directed the officials concerned to enhance transparency, and expediting the completion of ongoing housing projects.

After assuming the charge of his ministry in Islamabad, the minister emphasized the importance of accountability and efficiency in the implementation of policies and programs.

The minister was briefed on the ongoing housing projects, challenges, and opportunities within the ministry.

Riaz Hussain Pirzada also stressed the need for innovative and sustainable solutions to ensure the development of high-quality housing, infrastructure, and works projects.

PM’s vision is to bring talented people to national institutions: Ahsan


Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the most important responsibility of the Planning Commission is the correct determination of economic and development priorities to face the challenges of the country.

Chairing a meeting at the Planning Commission in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the vision of the Prime Minister is to bring the best minds and talented people to the national institutions to improve their efficiency.

Ahsan Iqbal said a new and better mechanism should be carved out by removing the complications of the prevailing procedure to bring talented people to the Planning Commission.

He also directed the Secretary Planning that a strategy be devised to improve the efficiency of officers at the Ministry of Planning and Planning Commission.

He said a mechanism should be established to increase the scope of participation of experts for PC-1 review of development projects from provinces and other ministries.

Ahsan Iqbal said a high-level policy board consisting of experts and e
xperienced people from various fields should be formed with the participation of public and private sectors, academia, industry. He directed the Secretary Planning and members of the Planning Commission to decide details of the organizational structure and scope of this policy board and submit recommendations as soon as possible.

Erdogan congratulates Asif Zardari on assuming President’s office


President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called President Asif Ali Zardari and congratulated him on assuming the office of the President of Pakistan.

Both the leaders exchanged views on matters of bilateral importance and underscored the need for further improving cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

President Asif Ali Zardari thanked the Turkish President for his telephone call and warm wishes.

He wished Happy Ramazan to Turkish nation and desired to see role of Turkish women in Islamic world.
