Faisal Kundi criticizes PTI for pursuing politics of division


PPP Senior leader Faisal Karim Kundi has criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for pursuing the politics of division.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he urged the political parties to come forward and serve the masses. He said narrative of PTI is dangerous for Pakistan.

Pakistan reaffirms commitment to clean energy


US Ambassador Donald Blome called on Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to clean energy. In addition, Pakistan has requested US assistance in unlocking the Green Climate Fund, aiming to equip itself for the impending environmental challenges.

The Ambassador, on the occasion, expressed interest of US based Companies in investing in renewable energy projects, aligning with Pakistan’s goal to double the share of renewables in its energy mix over the next ten years under Sustainable Development Goal 7.

Moreover, the Minister for Power highlighted the key parameters of Pakistan’s upcoming “Fan Replacement Program,” which is set to be initiated in the near future for energy conservation. He also invited USAID support for the implementation of conservation initiatives of Pakistan.

The US Ambassador highlighted the importance of upcoming Economic Dialogue in USA and requested a strong presence from Pakistan side.

Consulate General of Pakistan in New York lauds New York State Assembly’s Adoption of Resolutions


The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York has appreciated the New York State Assembly’s recent adoption of three significant resolutions, proclaiming 23rd March as Pakistan-American Heritage Day, 14th August as Pakistan Independence Day and congratulating the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) for its efforts in promoting understanding and cooperation between New York State and the provinces of Punjab and Sindh.

The Consulate General commended the efforts made by American-Pakistani Advocacy Group (APAG) and American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) for their relentless efforts in garnering support for these resolutions, which serve to foster greater cultural understanding and collaboration between Pakistan and the State of New York.

PM reiterates determination to provide all facilities to youth of Balochistan


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his determination to provide all facilities to the youth of Balochistan.

Talking to a delegation of National Party in Islamabad today, he said it is the responsibility of the State to provide livelihood and education opportunities for Baloch youth.

Discussion was held regarding law and order situation in Balochistan and the problems of the province’s youth.

The delegation felicitated Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the office of Prime Minister.

World Water Day being observed today


World Water Day is being observed today, with the aim of highlighting the importance of water worldwide and raising general awareness about its increasing scarcity and pollution.

The theme of World Water Day 2024 is ‘Water for Peace’.

World Water Day was celebrated for the first time on March 22 in 1993 after the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development confirmed it.
