10 GIT’s students selected for engineering diploma in China


Ten students of Gwadar Institute of Technology (GIT) have been selected to enroll in the diploma course of Associate Engineering at the Chinese Hebei Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College.

The students hailed from several remote cities of Balochistan including Gwadar, Pasni, Turbat, Panjgur and Surab.

The Government of Balochistan and Chinese company Tang sponsored this scholarship.

The students held a meeting with Chinese Consul General in Karachi before the departure.

They extended warm gratitude to the Balochistan Government and Pakistan Army for providing them a unique opportunity of higher education.

Finance Minister, CFFEX Chief Representative discuss issues of Pakistan’s financial markets


Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with You Hang, Chief Representative of China Financial Futures Exchange in Pakistan and Director of the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Islamabad today.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and exploring new opportunities for strengthening Pakistan’s financial markets and investment landscape.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Aurangzeb and Chief Representative Hang engaged in detailed discussions on various aspects of financial market development, including the potential for collaboration between CFFEX and PSX to promote innovative financial instruments in Pakistan.

The Finance Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing reforms aimed at improving the regulatory framework, enhancing market transparency, and facilitating the development of a vibrant and resilient financial sector in Pakistan.

He also emphasized the role of strategic partnerships with international financial institutions and exchanges, such as CFFEX, in achieving
these objectives and advancing the country’s financial market infrastructure.

You Hang expressed CFFEX’s keen interest in collaborating with PSX and other stakeholders to explore opportunities for launching new financial products, sharing technical expertise, and promoting cross-border investment between China and Pakistan.

He reaffirmed CFFEX’s commitment to supporting the development of Pakistan’s financial markets and contributing to the country’s economic prosperity.

Terrorists use US arms from Afghanistan for attacks in Pakistan


Terrorist outfits are using US made weaponry smuggled from Afghanistan, to carry out acts of terrorism inside Pakistan.

Credible evidences have also surfaced in this regard.

In the recent attack of Balochistan Liberation Army at Naval Base in Turbat, US made M32 multi short grenade launcher and night thermal vision were found from the killed terrorists.

Security forces foiled the terrorist attack at Gwadar Port Authority Complex in this month and recovered US made M-16/A4 grenade launcher and hand grenade from the terrorists.

The US manufactured military hardware including M-4 Carbine was recovered during an Intelligence Based Operation in North Waziristan on 29th of January this year.

Two Army check posts in Chitral and Zhob Garrison, Mianwali air base were targeted by the advanced US weapons. Night Vision Goggles and American rifles were used in the terrorist attack at Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan.

Similarly, the US made weapons were recovered from terrorists in several Intelligence Based Operations he
ld in District Zhob, Miran Shah, District Bajaur, Mir Ali and Tank.

This is an established fact that Afghan soil is being used against Pakistan.
