Govt’s writ to be maintained at any cost: CM Balochistan


Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti says the writ of the state will be maintained at any cost.

Talking to the injured of Harnai blast at hospital in Quetta, he said the sacrifices in the war against terrorism will not go in vain and the terrorists will be brought to their logical end.

The Chief Minister inquired after the health of all the injured of the blast and prayed for their early recovery.

He also expressed satisfaction over provision of better treatment facilities to the injured.

PM vows to ensure best security arrangements for Chinese workers in Pakistan


Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says the government will ensure the best possible security arrangements for Chinese engineers, workers and their families in Pakistan.

He was addressing the Chinese engineers and workers at Dasu dam project site in Koshistan today.

The Prime Minister said our friendship will march forward and the enemies of this friendship will be defeated comprehensively.

He also expressed condolence with the Chinese engineers over the loss of five workers in the terrorist incident that took place on 26th of last month.

He said once the enquiry report by the Committee concluded exemplary punishment will be given to the perpetrators of this incident.

The Prime Minister said the government will not leave any stone unturned to punish the culprits involved in the terrorist attack.

He said the security of the Chinese brothers and sisters is our responsibility as they support us in making Pakistan prosperous and progressive.

On this occasion, thirty seconds of silence was also observed
in the memories of Chinese engineers.

Polling on vacant seats of Senate to be held tomorrow


Polling to elect thirty members of the Senate will be held tomorrow (Tuesday).

Election Commission of Pakistan has already notified eighteen candidates as unopposed returned on vacant seats of Balochistan and Punjab.

Polling for rest of thirty seats will be held in National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.

Meanwhile, Election Commission of Pakistan has finalized all preparations for conducting nationwide Senate elections tomorrow (Tuesday).

According to Election Commission, polling will be held in the National Assembly and provincial assemblies from nine in the morning till four in the afternoon.

Ballot papers in four different colors have been printed for the Senate elections. White papers will be used for general seats, green for technocrat seats, pink for women, and yellow for minority seats.

Additionally, the transportation of election materials to returning officers has been completed.

Kyrgyzstan offers incentives for Pakistani entrepreneurs, investors


Kyrgyzstan has offered several incentives to fully facilitate Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors in joint ventures.

Head of External Relations Department of Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Asel Begmatova, presented these offers to a Pakistani trade delegation visiting Kyrgyzstan.

The delegation is on a two-week visit to Kyrgyzstan to study the scope of further strengthening bilateral trade and promotion of exports.

Briefing the Pakistani delegation, Begmatova said joint ventures would not only cater to Kyrgyz needs but also generate profits of investors.

CJP takes suo motu notice on letter of 6 IHC judges


Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa has taken suo motu notice on the letter of six judges of Islamabad High Court.

The Chief Justice has constituted a seven member bench which will hear the case on Wednesday.

The bench will be headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Other members of the bench are: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Yahya Khan Afridi, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Musarat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel.
