Islamabad: Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that the announcement of the US-Iran peace agreement is a proud moment for Pakistan and a significant moment for the global economy. The Finance Minister made these remarks while virtually addressing the 'Gong Ceremony' at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, marking the listing of Service Long March Tyres Limited.
According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Aurangzeb emphasized the continuous recognition of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their dedication and efforts in mediating the peace agreement. He highlighted Pakistan's crucial role in facilitating dialogue and supporting efforts aimed at de-escalation, which has enhanced its reputation as a constructive and responsible partner in promoting regional peace and stability.
The Finance Minister remarked that the successful mediation reflects Pakistan's commitment to diplomacy, engagement, and the peaceful resolution of disputes. He mentioned the Prime Minister's forthcoming announcement regarding the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which he believes will have positive implications for Pakistan's economy and regional stability.
