China urges world to continue supporting Iraq’s anti-terrorism efforts

China has called on the international community to continue supporting Iraq’s anti-terrorism efforts.


China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dai Bing, told a United nation Security Council briefing on Iraq said China is ready to work with international community to make positive contributions to the long-term peace and stability in Iraq.

Sindh CM directs to control price hike of daily use commodities

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed all the divisional commissioners to control price hike of commodities of daily use and take action against those violating government fixed rates.


According to the Spokesperson of Chief Minister House, Syed Murad Ali Shah has also directed that monitoring of rates of commodities of daily use in markets be carried out on a daily basis and implementation of government fixed rates be ensured.

Promotion of democratic values prerequisite for country’s progress: Baligh

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman says promotion of democratic values and supremacy of the constitution both are prerequisites for the progress of the country.


Talking to PML-Q Chaudhry Shafay Hussain in Lahore on Thursday, the Governor said the Federal government took effective steps for the promotion of technical education and Information Technology.


Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman said that a consortium has been developed for establishing a valuable link between academia and industries.

KP Governor demands APC for national security in context of Peshawar blast

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has demanded an all party’s conference for national security in context of the Peshawar blast.


He was talking to media along with caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan in Peshawar today.


Haji Ghulam Ali conveyed to all the political parties that it is the time for national unity.


The Governor said our police force is rendering great sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the nation is proud of their sacrifices.


Meanwhile, addressing a news conference in Peshawar today, Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Muazam Jah Ansari expressed the determination that nobody will be allowed to play with the security of the province.


The IG Police denounced all the speculations and conspiracy theories about the nature of the blast. He confirmed that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.


The IG said the force has sent compensation packages from its welfare fund to the families of all the martyrs and injured.


Muazam Jah Ansari urged the media and people to avoid speculations and give time to the Police force to investigate the matter in detail.


The IG Police said the brave and responsible Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Force will fight for security of people of the province and for themselves as well.
