Pakistan conducts successful training launch of Fatah-II Guided Rocket System


Pakistan Army today conducted successful training launch of Fatah-II Guided Rocket System with a range of 400 kilometers.

According to ISPR, the launch was aimed at perfecting the launch drills and procedures.

Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation system, unique trajectory and manoeuvrable features, Fatah-II is capable of engaging targets with high precision and defeating any missile defence system.

Fatah-II is being inducted in Pakistan’s Artillery Divisions for stand-off, precision engagement of deep targets.

The rocket system will significantly upgrade the reach and lethality of Pakistan Army’s conventional arsenal.

The flight test was witnessed by Chief of the General Staff Pakistan Army, senior officers from the three services and dedicated scientists and engineers.

President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff and all Services Chiefs have congratulated participating troops and scientists on this excellent achievement.

Pakistan, China reiterate resolve to further deepen ties


Pakistan and China have reiterated the resolve to further deepen the bilateral ties through continued high-level exchanges and bilateral consultative mechanisms.

This resolve was expressed at the 5th round of China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing today.

They also renewed the commitment to advance the high quality development of CPEC in its second phase with its focus on five corridors namely growth, innovation, open, livelihood, green corridors.

Both sides reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations and discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Noting the China Pakistan ‘All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership’, the Deputy Prime Minister underlined relations with China as the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He also highlighted the threats posed to regional peace and security due to India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and appreciated China’
s principled stance on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

Balochistan Announces Summer Vacations for Students


Balochistan Education Department has officially announced summer vacations for schoolchildren.

The education department has issued a notification in this regard. As per the notification, heat-prone areas will have summer breaks from May 15 to July 31, while colder regions will enjoy a 10-day vacation from July 22 to July 31.

Previously, the provincial education minister of Punjab had also announced the schedule for summer vacations in schools and colleges. According to details, educational institutes are expected to follow a similar pattern to last year, with summer vacations likely to span over two months.

The education minister stated that the summer holidays will begin on June 7, 2024, and end on August 19, 2024. The Education Department is expected to issue a notification in the coming days.

Female SHO Suspended for Allegedly Abusing Power


A female Station House Officer (SHO) in Karachi has been suspended for alleged abuse of power. The decision to suspend SHO Sahil Tasneem Iqbal was made by the Sindh Inspector General of Police, reflecting the seriousness with which instances of misconduct are addressed within the police force.

The suspension order was issued on Wednesday, with the Inspector General directing Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Asad Raza to initiate further action by serving a show-cause notice to SHO Tasneem. This step is part of an ongoing inquiry into the conduct of the SHO, specifically focusing on instances where her authority may have been misused.

The inquiry, which has been underway, aimed to thoroughly investigate allegations of the SHO exceeding her powers and engaging in behavior inconsistent with the ethical standards expected of law enforcement officers. Upon the completion of the inquiry process, the decision was made to suspend SHO Tasneem pending further investigation into the matter.
