Karachi Safe City Project would resolve issue of street crimes: Sindh CM


Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar has said the launching of the Karachi Safe City Project would increase the technical capacity of the Police and resolve the issue of street crime and other crimes.

He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Navy War Course participants in Karachi.

The Chief Minister said that more than eleven thousand police personnel will perform security duties in the upcoming general elections.

PIA inducts one A-320 aircraft into its fleet


The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has inducted one A-320 aircraft into its fleet.

A ceremony to this effect was held in Islamabad today.

This was one of the two aircrafts which were stuck in Malaysia over payment dispute.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Aviation Air Marshal retired Farhat Hussain Khan said the induction would enhance the revenue of the national flag carrier. He further said the second aircraft would also be inducted in two weeks.

Caretaker Sindh CM inaugurates hybrid city bus project in Karachi


Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar inaugurated a hybrid city bus project in Karachi today.

He handed over thirty hybrid and fifty electricity buses to the provincial transport department. These buses will be run on different routes in Karachi.

Later, addressing a ceremony, provincial Chief Minister said government is determined to resolve the transport issue of the city and an agreement has also been signed with National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation in this regard.
