46th death anniversary of travelogue writer Ibne Insha observed


The 46th death anniversary of eminent Urdu poet and travelogue writer Ibne Insha was observed on Thursday.

Ibne Insha’s real name was Sher Muhammad Khan and he was born in Jalandhur district of Indian Punjab in 1927.

He later migrated to Pakistan.

He was awarded Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 1978.

He died on this day in 1978 in Karachi.

No plans to hand over DISCOs to any institution: MoE


Ministry of Energy, Power Division has clarified that recent news circulating the media about Distribution Companies being handed over to army is incorrect.

In a press release today, the Ministry said neither there is any change in the management of DISCOs nor are they being handed over to any other institution.

It further stated that there are no plans in place to handover DISCOs to any institution of the State.
