Pakistan and Turkiye Enhance Collaboration on Women’s Rights and Social Security

Islamabad: Turkiye's Minister for Family and Social Services, Mahinur ‚¬Å¡¬€š¬…€œzdemir G¶kta, met with Pakistan's Minister for Human Rights, Azam Nazeer Tarar, to discuss women's rights, family systems, and social security initiatives.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two ministers focused on enhancing cooperation to protect family systems, promote children's and women's rights, and develop joint policy initiatives, especially in the digital space. Both nations committed to consolidating their efforts in family welfare, women's rights, social security, and institutional cooperation. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to formalize their collaboration in these areas, underlining their dedication to promoting joint ventures.

Additionally, Azam Nazeer Tarar held a meeting with Jalila Allahverdiyeva, Head of the Administrative Division of the OIC Labour Centre from Azerbaijan. The Federal Minister emphasized that Islam grants women respect, equality, and fundamental rights, and it is the collective duty of the Muslim Ummah to safeguard these rights. Pakistan is actively engaged in initiatives for women's development, with women playing significant roles in politics, the judiciary, education, business, and other sectors. The meeting concluded with an agreement to promote joint ventures under the OIC platform to empower women, provide social security, and enhance capacity-building.
