Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that Pakistan's Engage Africa Policy demonstrates a commitment to expanding and deepening political, economic, and cultural relations with African countries on a sustainable basis.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the Happy Africa Day ceremony in Islamabad, Tarar expressed that Pakistan views Africa not only as a diplomatic partner but also as a central pillar of its broader foreign policy outreach. Pakistan has steadily increased its diplomatic presence across African nations in recent years.
The cooperation between Pakistan and African countries encompasses various sectors, including trade, education, capacity building, health, and defense, aiming for mutual benefit and shared prosperity. Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan's dedication to enhancing collaboration in areas that could better showcase the positive image of both Africa and Pakistan.
Tarar proposed the creation of a joint platform focused on promoting African culture, music, heritage, traditions, and values. He emphasized the importance of expanding cultural exchanges between Pakistan and African countries, stating that the friendship between Pakistan and Africa will always remain strong and enduring.
