Bishkek: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on a four-day official visit. Upon his arrival at Issyk-Kul International Airport, he was warmly received by President Sadyr Japarov, and a guard of honour was presented to him.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari's visit marks a significant diplomatic milestone as he becomes the first President of Pakistan to visit the Kyrgyz Republic since the historic visit of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed in 1995. This visit underscores the importance of strengthening ties between the two nations.
During this visit, President Zardari and President Japarov will engage in comprehensive discussions covering the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. They are set to explore avenues to further enhance mutual cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, minerals, agriculture, education, health, tourism, the digital economy, and the promotion of people-to-people contacts.
The two leaders will also deliberate on ways to strengthen the long-standing brotherly ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, they will explore opportunities to enhance regional cooperation, reflecting their commitment to fostering a robust partnership between the two countries.
