Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of King Harald V of Norway.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, the Royal Family, and the people of Norway through a post on X. He paid tribute to King Harald's long and dedicated service to Norway and his efforts in strengthening the ties between Pakistan and Norway.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also shared his condolences in a post on X, expressing solidarity with the Royal Family and the people of Norway on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan. He remarked that as Norway mourns this profound loss, the people of Pakistan stand united with the bereaved family and their Norwegian friends. The Prime Minister acknowledged King Harald V's lifetime of dedicated service to his nation and extended thoughts and prayers to the people of Norway during these difficult times.
