Islamabad: A total of 257 people were killed and 492 others injured in 501 terrorist incidents in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province during the first half of 2025, local authorities reported.
According to Nam News Network, the report highlighted a 45 percent increase in terrorist incidents during the cited period compared to the same timeframe last year. Among these incidents, 81 attacks involved the use of improvised explosive devices, grenades, bombs, and landmines, resulting in 26 deaths and 112 injuries.
Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province by area, has experienced decades of violence linked to separatist movements and insurgent activities, contributing to the region's ongoing instability.
