Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, emphasized the importance of embodying the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam in daily life as a true expression of reverence. He shared these insights while addressing a Mehfil-e-Naat and prize distribution ceremony at the National Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam Competitions held in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted that the life of the Holy Prophet stands as a model of mercy, love, justice, and noble character for all. He explained that the essence of Naat lies not just in eloquent expression but also in manifesting the teachings and Seerat of the Prophet in one's life. Yousaf pointed out that the youth today are facing intellectual, moral, social, and digital challenges that necessitate guidance from the Prophet's Seerat.
Yousaf expressed concerns over the impact of social media, materialism, and negative influences on the youth, stating that these factors are altering their perspectives. In such a context, the Seerat of the Prophet offers vital direction. He stressed that the Seerat teaches not only worship principles but also how to be responsible citizens, contributing to a strong and harmonious society.
The Minister underscored the need to promote values like brotherhood, tolerance, justice, patience, and mutual respect within society. He also spoke about the collective responsibility for the stability, security, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan, urging that love for the homeland should reflect in character, duty performance, and daily life.
Concluding the ceremony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf handed out prizes to winners of the Naat recitation competition, Seerat books, and essay writing contests.
