World leaders felicitate Shehbaz Sharif on assumption of PM office


Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman has felicitated Shehbaz Sharif on taking oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In a cable message, Crown Prince wished Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif success, and the people of Pakistan steady progress and prosperity.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasising that through joint efforts, both the countries would enhance and expand long-term bilateral partnership.

In felicitation message, he said that Tajikistan and Pakistan are linked by long traditions of friendship, mutual understanding, respect and trust.

He said that the multifaceted cooperation between two countries, based on those good traditions, is constantly developing and enriched with new content.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has telephoned and felicitated his newly elected counterpart Shehbaz Sharif on taking oath of his office.

Anwar Ibrahim also expressed good wishes for PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif upon which P
rime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked his Malaysian counterpart.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan Malaysia have longstanding brotherly relations.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire to promote its trade and diplomatic relations with Malaysia.

He also invited the Malaysian prime minister to visit Pakistan.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome has also extended congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on assumption of office.

In his message on social media platform X, formerly twitter, he said his country looks forward to working closely with new government and people of Pakistan on mutual interests.

Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas has congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on assumption of office of the prime minister.

In his letter, Palestinian President has expressed his best wishes for the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the nation.

In his message he said that Palestine and Pakistan are bound in a historical and strong bond.

He said Pakistan has alway
s raised its voice for the rights and justice of the Palestinian people.

He prayed for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.

The Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani have felicitated Shehbaz Sharif on his election and swearing-in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time.

The Amir, who sent a cable of congratulations to the prime minister, wished him success and for further development and growth of bilateral relations.

The Qatari Prime Minister and Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani also sent cables to extend their felicitations to the newly-elected prime minister.

President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto extended felicitation to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on assuming his office.

In a message of felicitation on his official X account, he said Kenya looks forward to working with the newly elected prime minister of Pakistan in escalating bilateral ties for the prosperity of the people o
f the two countries.

CM Punjab expresses grief, sorrow over sad demise of Amjad Pervaiz


Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her deep sense of sorrow over the death of a renowned singer Amjad Pervaiz.

She expressed her heartfelt sympathy and grief with the family members of late Amjad Pervaiz. She prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

Maryam Nawaz remarked that the services of late Amjad Pervaiz in the art of music will be remembered for long.

PM Shehbaz receives guard of honour at PM House


Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was given guard of honour at the Prime Minister House as he assumed the responsibilities of the office.

He inspected the guard of honour and took the salute.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also met with the staff of the PM House.

FWO undertaking rescue operation at various areas of GB


In the wake of recent snowfall and torrential rains, the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is undertaking rescue operation at various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The personnel of the Frontier Works Organization have successfully rescued a trade convoy heading towards the Sost Dry port from China. The convoy was stuck up in the snowfall and land-sliding near Kasal during yesterday night.

Besides, removing snow, medical aid and food were provided to all the tourists, including foreign nationals.

The Frontier Works Organization has also cleared over 48 slides at the Karakoram Highway and Jaglot-Skardu road. The clearance operation will continue till the removal of rest of the slides at the Karakoram Highway and Jaglot-Skardu road.

Pakistan Railways earned Rs50b within eight months: CEO


Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Railways Aamir Baloch has informed that Pakistan Railways has earned fifty billion rupees within eight months from passenger and freight earning.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Railways earned 32 billion rupees last year within the same span of time.

He said that by the end of the year, an expected revenue of 80 billion rupees is anticipated.
