Pak Army starts tree plantation drive in North Waziristan


Pakistan Army has started tree plantation drive on the arrival of spring season at Bang Dar area of Tehsil Ghulam Khan in North Waziristan.

Initially, Pakistan Army leveled the land to make it cultivable and then fruit plants were cultivated.

Pakistan Army also distributed saplings to the locals and guidelines were also given to them regarding plant protection for optimal growth.

People expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army for this historic initiative as there will be lasting and positive results on the climate and the lives of the people of North Waziristan.

Balochistan CM vows to ensure peace in province


Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed resolve to ensure peace in the province.

He stated this while chairing a meeting regarding law and order in Quetta today.

Commissioner and DIG Rakhshan Division briefed the meeting about tragic Noshki Bus incident.

The meeting strongly condemned tragic Noshki Bus incident.

The meeting decided to revise the security plan to prevent such incidents in future.

The Chief Minister directed to ensure payment of compensation to heirs of Noshki Bus incident martyrs within seven days.

All possible facilities being provided to Sikh Yatrees in Punjab: CM


Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says all possible facilities are being provided to Sikh Yatrees in the province.

In a felicitation message, Maryam Nawaz said we are starting to celebrate Baisakhi on official level in province and special Baisakhi ceremonies have been arranged in Hassan Abdal, Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur Narowal and Lahore.

Maryam Nawaz termed the Baisakhi as a symbol of Punjab’ unique culture and welcomed all visiting Sikh Yatrees in province.

By-elections on 23 NA, Provincial Assemblies’ seats to be held on April 21


The by-elections on 23 vacant seats National and Provincial Assemblies will be held on 21st of this month.

According to Election Commission of Pakistan, these elections encompass six National Assembly seats, twelve Punjab Assembly seats, two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, one seat in the Sindh Assembly and two seats in the Balochistan Assembly

Two hundred and thirty nine candidates are vying for contest in by-elections.

50 candidates are contesting for vacant National Assembly seats.

Twenty three candidates are vying for the vacant seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, while 154 candidates are seeking their fortunes in Punjab.

Meanwhile, twelve contenders are in the running for vacant seats in the Balochistan Assembly.
