South Korea warns North Korea of tough response if it uses nuclear weapons

South Korea has warned North Korea that use of nuclear weapons would put it on a path of self-destruction and will face a tough response.

In a statement, South Korea’s Defense Ministry said the legislation would only deepen North Korea’s isolation.

The Ministry further said South Korea will sharply boost its own preemptive attack plan, missile defense and massive retaliation capacities.

Rain-wind/thundershower likely in various parts of country: PMD

Rain-wind and thundershower is expected in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, eastern and southern Sindh during the next twelve hours.

However, hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in other parts of the country.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad twenty-one degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar twenty-three, Karachi twenty-eight,  Quetta twenty-two, Gilgit and Murree seventeen degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind and thundershower is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian and Baramulla fourteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-three, Leh thirteen and Anantnag fifteen degree centigrade.

Govt to present threatening foreign letter in Parliament’s in-camera sitting: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says it has been decided to present the foreign letter in an in-camera session of parliament.

Talking to media in Islamabad, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan will not compromise on the sovereignty and dignity of the country.

The Minister said apparently it seems that PTI is lagging behind in terms of numbers in the National Assembly but in reality, things are different.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said neither the Army Chief asked for resignation nor the Prime Minister would resign.

He said our army is guarantor of Pakistan’s sovereignty.

PM takes into confidence cabinet members, journalists about foreign letter

Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken into confidence the cabinet members and senior journalists about the foreign letter encompassing threat to his government.
He took this initiative while chairing a special meeting of the Federal Cabinet and his interaction with senior journalists in Islamabad separately.
The Prime Minister also apprised senior journalists about evolving political situation in the country.
