Punjab govt abolishes tradition of unjustified distribution of dev. funds: Buzdar

Federal Minister for Ministry of states and frontier regions Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore today (Saturday).

They discussed matters of mutual interest, development projects and political situation of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Usman Buzdar said Punjab government believes in composite development therefore, it has abolished the tradition of unjustified distribution of development funds.

The Federal Minister appreciated the vision of the Chief Minister for preparing a separate development package for each district.

Federal govt taking keen interest in development of Balochistan: Suri

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri says the federal government is taking keen interest in development of Balochistan.

Talking to journalists in Quetta today (Saturday), he said the federal government has announced a package of 640 billion rupees for development of southern Balochistan.

Qasim Khan Suri said the country’s economy is heading in the right direction.

Govt implementing comprehensive strategy to improve health sector in country: Habib

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says the government is implementing a comprehensive strategy to improve health sector and provide people with best treatment facilities.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a kidney care centre at Children’s Hospital in Faisalabad today (Saturday), he said health cover will be ensured to every individual in Punjab by the end of this year.

The State Minister said 500,000 families have benefited from health cards in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa so far, and now people’s CNIC will be their health card in that province.

About Kashmir, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan is a true leader of Kashmiri people and he has effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue at global level.

Eid ul Adha to be celebrated on 21st July

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon of Zil Hajj was not sighted and Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday, 21st July.

This was announced by Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad while briefing the media after meeting of the committee.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said the first of Zil Hajj will fall on Monday.
