All possible cooperation to be provided for timely completion of dev projects in Karachi: Imran Ismail

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said that all possible assistance and cooperation would be provided for the timely completion of ongoing development projects under NDMA in Karachi.

He said this during a meeting with the National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz Satti at the Governor’s House Karachi today (Sunday).

Both leaders held detailed discussions on ongoing development projects, drainage and other important issues.

Talking to the governor, the chairman NDMA said that the ongoing development projects under NDMA would be completed on time.

PTI Govt worked round the clock to stabilize economy: Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said Punjab has achieved the tax revenue target for the previous financial year 2020-21.

In a statement, he said 24.7 percent increase has been recorded in Punjab Revenue Authority’s receipts and over 18 percent increase in excise tax collections.

Chief Minister said Punjab is the only province to have exceeded the revenue collection beyond set target.

The Chief Minister said the government has given special incentives to the businessmen to limit the economic impact of COVID-19.

He said the PTI Government inherited a devastated economy in 2018 and worked round the clock to stabilize it.

Balochistan govt to establish 100 new middle schools in province

The Balochistan government will establish 100 new middle schools in the province during the current fiscal year.

Talking to media, Balochistan Secretary for primary and secondary education Sher Khan Bazai said 1500 million rupees have been allocated in the annual budget 2021-22 to provide the best education to the masses in the province.

He said the government has decided to establish and upgrade as many as 198 schools in order to enhance available higher education opportunities in the province.

Iran hands over 180 immigrants to Pakistan

Iranian authorities handed over 180 Pakistani migrants to local administration at Taftan border in Chagai district today (Sunday).

According to official sources, these people were arrested in different parts of Iran for not having valid traveling documents.

Mahmood directs authorities to finalize all requirements of various dev schemes under public sector programs

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed concerned authorities to finalize all requirements including PC-1 and pre-feasibilities of various developmental schemes under public sector programs.

Chairing a meeting in Peshawar today (Sunday), he also directed to prepare an effective mechanism for close liaison with relevant federal ministries and divisions.

Mahmood Khan said steps should be taken for the inclusion of mega developmental projects in PSDP which were not included in the program during the current financial year.
