Aslam chairs meeting to review performance, future strategy of Environmental Protection Dept

A meeting of Punjab Investment Board was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and investment Mian Aslam Iqbal in Lahore today (Monday).

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the performance and future strategy of the Department of Environmental Protection.

He directed the performance audit of transfer of brick kilns to ZigZag technology.

He was also instructed to set up a committee for industrial mapping that will complete its work within two months and submit a report.

On the occasion Secretary, Department of Environmental Protection Zahid Hussain said 30 air quality monitoring stations and 15 water quality monitoring stations will be set up soon.

PM visits Citizen Club at F-9 Park, Islamabad

Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Citizen Club at F-9 Park in Islamabad on Monday.

On the directions of the Prime Minister, a committee comprising the Chairman CDA and famous Architect Nayyer Ali Dada has been constituted which will present its recommendations for bringing into use the building of Citizen Club for public interest.

It was in 2008 that construction work on Citizen Club was started but its completion faced delays. The present government completed work on it in 2018.

Bodies of Ali Sadpara, John Snorri found at K2, says GB minister

Minister for Information Gilgit-Baltistan Fateh Ullah Khan has confirmed that bodies of Muhammad Ali Sadpara and Johan Snorri have been found.

In a statement, he said that the bodies will be shifted through army helicopters.

Earlier, Mashabrum expedition treks and tour said that two bodies have been found by Madison fixing Sharpas in K2 bottleneck .

In a tweet, it is said that the first found from 400 M below and now they found Muhammad Ali Sadpara body from 300m below the bottleneck of K2.

Govt committed to lead country towards progress, prosperity: Zahoor

Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Government is committed to lead the country towards progress and prosperity.

He said this while talking to journalists along with Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri in Quetta today (Monday).

The Governor said the Prime Minister Imran khan is working hard for progress and prosperity of the country.

He also felicitated party workers of PTI for victory in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.

On this occasion talking to journalists Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim khan Suri said people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir rejected the PML-N narrative in legislative Assembly Elections.

KP: Annual examinations of 9th, 11th classes to begin July 27

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the annual examinations of 9th and 11th classes begins from tomorrow (Tuesday).

According to the Education Department, all necessary arrangements have been finalized to hold the examinations in a peaceful and transparent manner.

Over six hundred and sixty-two students will appear in these examinations.

CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination halls to discourage cheating.
