Information group under training officers visit Radio Pakistan

A batch of under-training officers of 48 Common and 38 Specialized Training Program at Information Service Academy Islamabad visited National Broadcasting House Islamabad on Tuesday.

Director General Radio Pakistan Muhammad Asim Khichi briefed the visiting probationary officers about the working of different departments of Radio Pakistan.

The Director General said Radio Pakistan is the most powerful medium having unmatched public outreach across the country. He said Radio Pakistan has been playing an effective role in highlighting the government’s initiatives and projecting the state narrative on Kashmir, Afghanistan and other international issues.

Director News and Current Affairs Abdul Rauf Khan, Director Administration Intisar Ahmed and Director Program Khalida Nuzhat were also present on the occasion.

Later, the probationary officers visited different sections of Radio Pakistan.

KP govt allocates Rs23bn for Sehat Sahulat card program Director Health Card Program

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated twenty-three billion rupees for the Sehat Sahulat card program in the province.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent, the Director Health Card Program Dr. Riaz Tanoli said the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are getting free medical treatment in all major diseases.

He said so far the government has provided free treatment to four-hundred and eighty thousand patients.

Punjab govt prioritising health, education: Yawar

Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Bait ul Mal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari has said that Punjab government is giving priority to education and health sector and its ample proof is allocation of Rs39 billion for school education sector in this budget.

He said this while addressing a ceremony held in connection with upgradation of Government Boys Primary School to Insaf Elementary School.

Syed Yawar Bokhari said that the upgradation of this school will facilitate the students of the area to seek education up to middle level nearest their homes. He said that across Punjab, more than five thousand while in Attock district more than one hundred schools will be upgraded to Insaf Elementary Schools which is a revolutionary step of the Punjab government.

PTI submits details of its accounts to ECP: Farrukh Habib

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says PTI has submitted details of its accounts to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Addressing a news conference outside the ECP on Tuesday, he said millions of transactions were made in the accounts of PML-N and PPP, and they must clarify their position in this regard.

While referring to one hundred million rupees funds transferred from the PPP to PPP-Parliamentarians, Farrukh Habib pointed out how it is possible that one political party donated 100 million rupees funds to another one. He said this was the reason that these two parties always avoided scrutiny.

Yasmin urges public to get vaccinated, wear face masks

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has stressed for the use of wearing face masks and urged the public to get vaccinated as cases of the Delta variant continue to rise in many countries.

Talking to a private news channel, she urged the public to strictly observe coronavirus precautions and show compassion towards the poor while celebrating the upcoming Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Azha.

She said citizens should follow government strict guidelines to protect themselves and their loved ones from the 4th wave of pandemic.

She said wearing masks, keeping social distance and other precautions can only prevent the people suffering from 4th wave of Covid -19 virus.
