Chief Secretary Balochistan says security of Chinese in province would be further improved

Chief Secretary Balochistan Mather Niaz Rana has directed concerned authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the Gwadar suicide attack and submit a report as soon as possible.

After reviewing the security situation the attack in Gwadar and inspecting the site today, he said an integrated security plan should be formulated to ensure safety of lives and public properties.

He said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their hands.

The Chief Secretary said security of Chinese engineers working on different projects in the province including Gwadar would be further improved.

Welfare of people top priority, no negligence will be tolerated: Usman Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Khan Buzdar says welfare of people is top priority of PTI government and negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.

He was talking to a delegation of Special Monitoring Unit, headed by Fazeel Asif, which presented him the third-year performance report of provincial government in Lahore today (Saturday).

The report contains detailed performance of provincial departments and institutions.

The Chief Minister said performance of the provincial departments will be evaluated on a regular basis.

Sindh govt decides to keep universities, educational boards closed for another week

Sindh government has decided to keep universities and educational boards closed for another week till 29th of this month, due to increase in coronavirus cases in the province.

In a statement in Karachi, Sindh Minister for Universities and Educational Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu said the universities and educational boards will now be opened on 30th of this month.

He asked teachers and students to get themselves vaccinated against Covid-19 before opening of the educational institutions.

Govt working to ensure implementation of laws related to women rights: Kanwal

Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Development and Reforms Kanwal Shauzab says the PTI government, under its manifesto, is vigorously working to ensure implementation of laws related to women rights.
Talking to PTV News, she said the government has done a lot on the agenda of women empowerment and enacted laws to safeguard their property rights.
Kanwal Shauzab stressed upon full implementation of the protection of women bills in parliament, along with providing women a safe and better working environment at workplace.
Replying a query, she said women lawmakers in the National Assembly need to work jointly for full implementation of women related pending legislation.
