PM directs to finalize new SME policy to provide incentives to small business owners

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to finalize the new SME policy to provide incentives and facilities to small business owners under the government’s Ease of Business Policy.

Chairing a review meeting on the promotion of small and medium businesses, in Islamabad on Monday, the Prime Minister said small industries have been neglected in the past while our government is focused on providing facilities to them.

The meeting was informed that small and medium enterprises account for 40 percent of the total GDP of Pakistan.

It was apprised that Loans will be provided to small and medium enterprises under the supervision of State Bank of Pakistan and special attention is being paid to the business related to the information technology sector.

It was also informed that all stakeholders have been consulted in detail so that there is no loopholes in the policy.

Govt making efforts for development of Islamabad: Ali Nawaz

Special Assistant on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan says government is making efforts for the development of Islamabad.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, he said fifty million rupees have been spent for re-carpeting of the roads of the capital.

He said there are no complaints of water shortage and missing street lights in Islamabad.

KSDA to work for development of tribal areas of DG Khan, Rajanpur: Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that Koh-e-Suleman Development Authority (KSDA) has been made functional and its scope is being expanded further.

Talking to tribal elders and notables at Fort Munro on Monday, he said the Authority will work for development of tribal areas of DG Khan and Rajanpur.

Tarbela Dam reservoir remains 2 feet below maximum storage limit

The water level at Tarbela Dam reservoir today increased to 1547.68 feet about 2 feet below the maximum storage capacity.

The power generation of the dam has increased to 3296 megawatts where 16 power generation units out of 17 were working with full capacity to produce electricity.

Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr. Yasmin Rashid says vaccination is the only way to get rid of COVID-19.

Addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi on Monday, she said government is taking steps to ensure the vaccination of the people.

Dr Yasmin Rashid said Punjab government is managing vaccination process at micro level by vaccinating people in small towns and areas.
