Radio Pakistan also celebrated its birthday on eve of Independence Day

Radio Pakistan (Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation) also celebrated its birthday on the eve of Independence Day today (Saturday).

Radio Pakistan came into being along with Pakistan and it has a privilege to announce the Independence of Pakistan from British India on 14th August 1947.

At that time, it was called Pakistan Broadcasting Service. Radio Pakistan played an important role to lead and resettlement of migrants from British India and it is still playing a vital role in the development and prosperity of the country.

Radio Pakistan is the only media organization in the country, the voice of which reaches every corner of the country. It also has the honour of introducing and grooming countless famous artists, musicians, producers, writers, announcers and broadcasters. It is the best teaching institute for media students.

Radio Pakistan broadcasts news every hour and it is also broadcasting news in 26 languages including local, regional and foreign languages.

Radio Pakistan has 64 stations across the country and its nine live channels including News & Current Affairs Channel are broadcasting News and Programs.

Radio Pakistan’s live-streaming is available on its website and social media accounts.

Radio Pakistan has also recently launched Podcast service to digitalize its broadcast service.

Three terrorists killed by security forces in Balochistan

Three terrorists have been killed by the security forces during an exchange of fire near Shahrig, Loralai, Balochistan.

According to the ISPR, terrorists fire raid on FC Balochistan vehicle.

The FC troops responded promptly and killed 3 terrorists.

In exchange of fire Naik Sharif embraced shahadat while Major Qasim and a soldier were injured.

One terrorist killed in South Waziristan by security forces

One terrorist was killed and another was apprehended during an action by security forces in Sararogha area of South Waziristan.

According to the ISPR, during intense exchange of fire, one security personnel embraced martyrdom.

The apprehended terrorist revealed that they had planned to conduct a fire raid on a military post.

The ISPR said Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism. It said sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Independence Day: Fawad inaugurates photographic, painting exhibition

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain inaugurated a two-day photographic and painting exhibition in Islamabad on Friday in connection with Independence Day.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the archives will be digitalized this year.

The Minister said all the historical and important pictures related to Pakistan’s Movement have been displayed in the exhibition.

The Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized the exhibition. A video on the subject was also played on the occasion.
