Govt makes partial increase in prices of petroleum products

The government has increased the prices of petroleum products in view of the rising oil prices trend in global market.

According to the notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the price of petrol has increased by 3.01 rupees per litre, High Speed Diesel and Kerosene by 3 rupees and Light diesel oil by 3.33 rupees per litre.

The notification said that the petroleum products are showing fourth straight weekly gain and witnessed an increase of 6.2 % just in last week in the international market which is at the highest level since last year.

Govt to continue supporting Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination: AJK President

President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry says the AJK government would continue to extend political, moral, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

Addressing a public gathering near Muzaffarabad on Saturday, he said Modi’s ugly face and fascist designs have been exposed at the world level and international community should seek a just resolution of the Kashmir issue.

The AJK President said that the Prime Minister of AJK has initiated steps for the speedy development of the region.

Two week-long polio eradication campaign to begin in KP on Monday

A two-week long polio eradication campaign will begin in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.

According to Emergency Operation Center, more than four point seven million children under the five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops during the drive.

The Health Department has established over twenty-thousand teams to administer anti-polio drops to the children during the campaign.

Polio teams will also stay available at railway stations, bus stands and other public places to administer the drops.

NCOC advises for taking stringent measures to tackle rising trend of Omicron cases

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has advised for taking stringent measures to tackle rising trend of Omicron cases and proposed Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs).

In a meeting held in Islamabad, the forum decided to extensively engage with provinces especially Sindh for necessary measures to tackle rising disease.

The NCOC reviewed the existing NPIs and called on provincial health and education ministers session on 17 January 22 to suggest the new set of NPIs.

It also decided to implement complete ban on inflight serving of food with effect from 17th of this month.

The NCOC asked the federating units to take strict measures against violators of existing SOPs and ensure enforcement of obligatory vaccination regime.
