Balochistan: Relief operations continuing in wake of floods


Local administration, FC and Pakistan Army are continuing relief operations in different areas of Balochistan in wake of floods.

Road in Chaman (NA-25) was badly affected by flood which was restored by joint efforts of Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan (North). Tents, blankets and other essential items were also distributed among the flood affected people in Chaman.

Free medical facilities were provided to the people at the medical camp established by the Pakistan Army.

The rescue teams of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy are continuously conducting rescue operations in the surroundings of Gwadar and Ormara.

SIFC taking tangible steps to promote agriculture in country


Agriculture is the top priority sector of Special Investment Facilitation Council of Pakistan.

The agriculture sector showed a growth of 5.02 percent during the third quarter over last year due to improvement in the policy environment under the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

Under the Special Investment Facilitation Council, a number of policy measures have been implemented in the recent past to support the development and growth of this sector.

Green Pakistan Initiative, under SIFC, aims to introduce corporate agriculture farming techniques based on modern agricultural technology to increase production.

Development in the agriculture sector will lead to national food security, exports and more employment opportunities for the local people.

Governor GB meets President PML-Q in Lahore


Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah has met President Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence in Lahore.

On the occasion, Chuadhry Shujaat Husain expressed full support for reforms in the tourism sector for attraction of tourists in Gilgit Baltistan.

Punjab Minister for Industry Chaudhry Shafi Husain said institutes for technical education will be established in Gilgit Baltistan.

Sikh pilgrims thank Pakistan’s govt for making best arrangements


Visiting Sikh pilgrims from India have expressed gratitude to Pakistan for providing the best security, accommodation and medical facilities during their ten-day pilgrimage.

They were talking to Radio Pakistan Lahore representative at Shah Alam market after shopping today.

Sikh pilgrims said that they got respect and love and Pakistanis have won their hearts.

Sikh pilgrims said their Gurdwaras are beautifully decorated and Sikh community living in Pakistan is enjoying all rights.

They will leave for India via Wagah border tomorrow.
