KP govt decides to start air ambulance service in province


The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to start the air ambulance service in the province.

The decision was taken in a meeting of health department chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur in Peshawar today.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to start this service in the next four months.

The meeting also decided to establish a motorbike response unit for densely populated areas of the province.

PM extends Eid greetings to Sultan of Oman


Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today extended Eid greetings to Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

The Prime Minister recalled the historically cordial ties between the two countries and highlighted the immense potential for cooperation in various sectors.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for enhancing institutional and economic linkages between the two maritime neighbors.

He also prayed for unity among the ranks of the Ummah and for an end to the atrocities being committed by Israel against the innocent Palestinians.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq reciprocated the warm Eid greetings and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work closely with each other and to further solidify bilateral ties into mutually rewarding economic cooperation.

Shehbaz Sharif extended a most cordial invitation to the Sultan of Oman to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.

Pakistan urges UNSC for appropriate steps to implement its resolution


Pakistan has urged the United Nations Security Council to take appropriate steps to ensure the implementation on its resolution with letter and spirit that called for the enforcement of ceasefire in Gaza.

Speaking during the General Assembly debate on the use of veto on the situation in the Middle East, Ambassador Munir Akram urged the Security Council to impose a ban on the export of weapons to Israel as well as hold the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for their crimes against the Palestinians.

The envoy reiterated Pakistan’s unflinching support for the admission of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations.

Acknowledging the subsequent adoption of Security Council resolution for ceasefire in Gaza, Ambassador Akram expressed disappointment in Israel’s non-compliance with the resolution.

Consumers to get decreased bills in current month: Spokesperson


The consumers will get decreased bills during the current month as compared to last month owing to fuel price adjustment mechanism.

According to NEPRA’s notification, power tariff has reduced by two rupees ninety paisa per unit for April.

Consequently, fuel price adjustment for the current month has reduced to four rupees ninety two paisa per unit from seven rupees per unit.

Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is playing a pivotal role to exploit the country’s mineral potential.

The establishment of Mines and Minerals Division at the federal level has been fast-tracked to harness the potential of mining.

The division will help in revitalizing the mineral sector by harmonizing mineral policies and regulations across the country. The federal and provincial coordination will facilitate domestic and foreign investment

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation has started executing an agreement with an American company for the export of pink salt.

PR announces 25% reduction in fares on Eid-ul-Fitr


Pakistan Railways has announced twenty five percent reduction in the fares as a special package for the commuters on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to a press release issued in Lahore today, railway fares will be reduced by 25percent for first three days of Eid-ul-Fitr.

This discount will be available on all types of trains and classes. However, the discount will not be applicable on Eid Special trains.

PM vows to broaden Pak-Qatar cooperation in diverse fields


Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with the Ameer of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani today and extended Eid greetings.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to closely work with Qatar in all areas of common interest.

The Ameer of Qatar warmly reciprocated Eid greetings and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister also invited him to visit Pakistan.

The Ameer assured the Prime Minister that he is keen to visit Pakistan at an early date.

The two leaders renewed commitment to work closely and further broaden cooperation in all mutually beneficial fields.
