Govt taking concrete measures to facilitate youth: Shaza Fatima

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Shaza Fatima says youth is our government’s main focus and we are taking concrete measures to facilitate them.

 

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Commonwealth year of youth, she said keeping in mind the needs and priorities of youth, we have started a number of projects under Prime Minister Youth Program.

 

The Special Assistant said Prime Minister Youth Program is a significant and all-encompassing intervention to empower youth and enable them to fully realize their potential.

 

While presenting the information regarding the program, she said a digital youth hub is being designed to connect all opportunities, integrating it with a single national job site and a scholarship portal via PMYP’s URL and Mobile Application.

 

Shaza Fatima said on a policy level, we are working on national youth employment strategy that aims to add two million jobs.

 

The Special Assistant said Pakistan looks forward to participating in several events this year, especially as host of the next Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting.

Efforts afoot to increase revenue of Pakistan Railways, minimize its losses: Saad

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique says efforts are afoot to increase the revenue of Pakistan Railways and minimize its losses.

 

Talking to media in Lahore on Tuesday he said we are working on many initiatives including the green line for the betterment of Railways.

 

He said Pakistan Railways is facing financial crises due to oil price hike and the recent floods.

 

He said PTI government badly damaged the country’s economy during its tenure.

 

He, however, said the incumbent government is striving hard for development and prosperity of the country.

 

He said payments of the employees of railways will be cleared by tomorrow.

 

He said the agricultural land of railways will also be utilized to increase its revenue.

CNS, Kenya Navy commander discuss matters of mutual interest

Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Jimson Longiro Mutai visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad and called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on Tuesday.

 

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including bilateral collaborations and regional maritime security milieu were discussed.

 

The Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s initiatives for ensuring maritime security and peace in the region.

TEMECULA, Calif., Jan. 30, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (“Group”), a part of the Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan) group of companies, is proud to announce yet another expansion of their manufacturing and service capabilities for the Middle East and Northern Africa markets. With this expansion, they will be providing pump and turboexpander aftermarket repairs of their full line, including J.C. Carter pumps. Their new state-of-the-art service center will allow repairs to be made locally rather than the need to ship elsewhere.

The new facility, based in the Sharjah Free Zone, was established to provide expanded support for the Middle East and Northern Africa markets.
