PM reaffirms commitment to ensure health facilities for all


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has renewed the commitment of his Government to provide and ensure health facilities for all of our population.

In his message on World Health Day being observed on Sunday, he said we will partner and encourage provincial governments to expand and upgrade health facilities, launch mobile health clinics for enhanced access, re-energize immunization and improve mental health services.

The Prime Minister said the establishment and operationalization of Medical City, establishment of Cancer Care Hospital and establishment of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute facilities in each province remains our key priority.

He said we take pride in having launched the Health Card during PMLN’s 2013-18 tenure.

The Prime Minister said we remain committed to universal health coverage and universal health insurance for our population, particularly providing free-of-cost healthcare services to low and middle-income families.

He also applauded the services of our health professionals, paramedic
al staff, nurses, and other health workers who selflessly work day and night to provide health services to the nation.

Crackdown against hoarders continuing across country


Crackdown against hoarders is continuing across the country to facilitate general public.

According to the details, the relevant institutions collected 26762 metric tons of fertilizer, 2420 metric tons of flour, 53954 metric tons of ghee and 9340 metric tons of sugar during this crackdown.

During the last week of previous month, 168 metric tons of fertilizer, 0.544 metric tons of flour, 869 metric tons of ghee and 205 metric tons of sugar were recovered from Punjab.

During this period, relevent agencies completed 38 successful anti-hoarding operations.

Pak Army continues provide of ration to needy people of KP during Ramadan


Pakistan Army continues the process to provide ration to the needy people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during Ramadan.

During the whole process, it was ensured that no deserving person is deprived in in Bajaur, North Waziristan, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Swat, Dir and Chitral.

The ration includes dates, flour, pulses, rice, sugar, dry milk, cooking oil and summer drinks.

The people of these districts paid tribute to the high officials of Pakistan Army for this great work.

Qaiser Sheikh, Kamran Tessori discuss matters pertaining to country’s economic situation


Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh called on Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori in Karachi.

Matters pertaining to economic situation of the country and the role of Special Investment Facilitation Council came under discussion.

On the occasion, the Governor stressed upon the need for collaborative efforts by all stakeholders to steer the country out of economic issues.

World Health Day being observed today


The World Health Day is being observed across the globe today.

Theme for the day this year is ‘My health, my right’.

This year, the World Health Day also marks the WHO’s 76th anniversary and it presents an opportunity to look back at public health successes that have improved quality of life during the last seven decades.
