Secretary-General MWL arrives in Islamabad today


The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, will arrive in Islamabad today on a nine-day official visit to Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim will spend his Eid with orphaned children in Pakistan, and lead the Eid prayers at Faisal Mosque Islamabad.

The esteemed dignitary will also engage in a series of high-level meetings with Pakistani officials. These include meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Minister for Religious Affairs.

During these meetings, the two sides will exchange views on issues of mutual interest to foster diplomatic relations.

Funeral prayer of Naib Subedar Khalid Naseer Shaheed offered in Gilgit


Funeral prayer of Naib Subedar Khalid Naseer Shaheed who was martyred in a landslide near Chilas, was offered in Gilgit today.

Pakistan Army officers and soldiers participated in the funeral prayer.

The body of the martyr was sent to his native place where he will be buried with full military honors.

Armed forces of Pakistan are determined to serve the nation at any cost.

Punjab Govt initiates health reforms under ‘Sehatmand Punjab’ vision


Punjab Government has initiated the health reforms under “Sehatmand Punjab” vision.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in her message on World Health Day.

She said Punjab’s first public sector Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital will be built in Lahore while Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Hospital is being set up at Sargodha.

Maryam Nawaz said the target of building three Medical Cities in South, Central and North Punjab areas will be accomplished.

KP CM calls for modern research in agriculture sector


Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has urged for modern research in agriculture in line with contemporary requirements.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said better use of land for agriculture will be ensured to increase per acre yield.

The Chief Minister said from next season, saffron will be cultivated on all suitable government lands.

He said small dams will be constructed to cultivate vegetables in districts which have the issue of water scarcity.

Balochistan govt launches multiple projects for welfare of fishermen


Balochistan government has started work on different projects to improve living standard of fishermen in coastal belt of province.

In this connection, the government has reduced fisheries license and renewal fee to provide maximum relief to poor fishermen.

Similarly, Beach Parks and Picnic Resorts are being constructed to promote coastal tourism and increase income of fishermen.

Government of Balochistan has allocated two billion rupees for Fisheries and Coastal Development projects.
