Govt decides not to restore Saturday holiday in govt’s offices

The government has decided not to restore Saturday holiday in government offices.

In this respect, after the approval of the Prime Minister, the Establishment Division has issued a notification.

According to the notification, Federal government offices shall work for six days a week and continue to observe office timings from 8am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.

A 30 minute break for offering prayer is admissible from 1p.m. However, timings for Friday will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
